Description: Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-114 (R.3), the "large stars" obverse that pairs up to a normal denomination, rather than the far more common "50/20". Often found unevenly struck, this beauty defies the odds and offers exceptional sharpness despite ten points of wear. Pewter-grey decorates the entire surface and provides meaningful, original character that even manages to help downplay a smallish patch of surface roughness at Liberty's forehead. Just a flat-out great coin and one that is unusually difficult to locate so nice.
