Description: 1878-S may be a wildly common date in the series, but the population drops off a cliff entering in the MS-66 level. NGC has certified well over 50-thousand pieces in all grades, and put only 1% of that population into such holders. This is an almost absurdly well-detailed example that has not even a whisper of incomplete strike anywhere. Layer atop the extreme sharpness some blistering white incandescence and it's tough to imagine a more exciting inaugural type example!
