Description: Ring on shield. Famous for being represented by so few mint-state survivors, the accurate XF-40 grade here has no claims at all on "UNC" but does retain a faint touch of luster on the reverse. Struck off of the die pairing that includes a curious ring-shaped anomaly in the top of the shield, corresponding exactly to the center of that side. An original, canary-gold example with excellent sharpness.
