Description: The Blackhawk Collection. The AU-58 grade point at both services shows a large cluster of incidents most certainly inflated by repeated resubmissions, so the cataloger will not bother to present the population report. Rather, let's appreciate this near-mint key for what it is -- a lustrous, somewhat bright yellow example with mere traces of finger friction. The mintmark is faint as usual for the date, and isolated softness shows at the shoulder, these all being usual characteristics of 1911-D. One diminutive scrape on the headband and several other tiny surface nicks likely resulted from brief circulation.
