Description: Extensive die polish shows vertically on either side of 1862, and some light carrot-gold hues have receded into protect areas of the details. Perhaps a handful of light marks determine the grade. 1878 retains a hint of the flashy surface often seen for the date but as expected of a slightly circulated coin, finger friction has subtly lessened field luster and placed a few handling marks here and there. Two coin lot.
