Description: T. W. J. Collection. Lustrous beige-grey surfaces surely don't fall far from gem consideration given the pleasing luster and seemingly original surface quality. A small carbon spot clings to the front edge of the eagle's uppermost wing but if this is the only distraction, the satisfaction is just about guaranteed. Philadelphia pieces of 1920 often received excellent strikes, but the Denver examples have long been noted for shallow date relief, as seen here, as well as incomplete head details, again, also noted.
