Description:	T. W. J. Collection. Astoundingly bright and brilliant, 1917-D type-1 also incorporates a surgical-precision strike, with an interesting die break from the end of the tail through eagle's beak worth investigating. Gentle smoke-grey toning envelopes 1929 and creates the visual impression of a very original example, bolstered by a very good strike that captured most of the shield details. Two coin lot.
