Description: This is a near-sensational example, deeply sculpted by the dies and almost flawlessly struck, as is represented by the NGC 5/5 strike designation. The only technical consideration the cataloger could find is a planchet lamination dead center of the obverse, creating a tiny void at the second leaf from the forehead. NGC also rates the surface at a perfect 5/5 and the cataloger agrees. If one must nitpick, then technically, the obverse is not perfectly centered as it lacks about a quarter of the beading at the lower rim, and the youth's facial features did not get fully rendered. Other than that, one cannot hope for much better than such a gorgeous example.
