Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1919-S NGC MS-65
Lot Number: 812
Description:

The Never-To-CAC Collection. 18 graded MS-65, 11 higher at NGC. Mintmarked half-dollars of the late teens and early twenties get recognition for scarcity, all of them being especially scarce at the "gem" level. Here is a first-class example that trumps expectations with a very detailed strike for the date, lacking just some facial features and some separation between the feathers on the lower edge of the eagle's motif. Sparking mint luster rules the day. Like the cheek for Morgan dollars, the right field is where most connoisseurs look for abrasions and the cataloger is delighted to report a perfectly unblemished field, nor is the rest of the surface marred by any distractions of note.
