Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1927-S PCGS MS-64 CACCAC
Lot Number: 733
Description: 280 graded MS-64, 65 higher at PCGS. What makes these San Francisco issues of the 1920s decade so infamously difficult is the degree to which they tend to be poorly struck. Not so this satiny ice-blue specimen, as both sides boast decidedly strong striking definition, replete with a bold, full horn and tail, and deeply embedded recesses for the Indian's braid. This, despite clashed dies that were aging heavily by the time they struck this beauty. So old is the obverse die that LIBERTY merges with the rim.
