Description: Walk The Plank Collection. FS-303, formerly FS-013.2 (which is what is cited on the SEGS slab). Five overdates are known to exist for 1883/2, and some aficionados prefer the present oversee die, which has clear evidence of the base of a "2" between "83". That the 2 was punched in between two digits, rather than in place of once, can be explained by an additional pickup point whereby the date is actually shifted a little right of proper positioning, as noted by the ball favoring proximity to the first "8".
