Description: Walk The Plank Collection. 1872 obviously holds key-date status for the 2-cent series, but seldom does a collector get the chance to purchase a proof and a circulation strike for one high bid. "WE" is beginning to emerge for the NGC VF-30 example, and beautiful walnut-brown patina adheres to the entire surface, itself extraordinarily original and unmolested. That graded PCGS PR-63BN offers the expected sharp strike and some remnants of brick-red remain, but a small darker spot is positioned beneath "2" on the reverse. 1872 2-cent pieces and a two coin lot.
