Description: The Crack Of Dawn Collection. VAM-3. Surprisingly often, an 1885-CC can offer cameo effects without truly being prooflike, and that is just what happens with this shimmering example - flashy on the outside, with some lovely frosty texture on the inside. As if pinched between thumb and forefinger, a splash of sunrise gold toning splays out toward the far right rim as viewed from obverse or reverse. Nicely struck - better than average for the date, in fact.
