The Crack Of Dawn Collection. 123 graded MS-67, 18 higher at NGC (17 of those are "plus" or "star" example). While a couple hundred thousand 1884-O dollars have been certified as mint-state, it's easy to speculate that roll-hoards comprise another million that never circulated. Can you say "ultra common"? That being said, though, this is a surprisingly valid grade-rarity issue that borders upon "rare" at the superb level. No criticism can be offered for this remarkable, blazing obsidian-white example, even for the strike, which has produced near-perfect delineation of individual hair strands at the bottom of Liberty's tresses. Solidly graded, the snowy surface displays not a single tiny abrasion worth noting.
