Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1870 PCGS MS-61
Lot Number: 524
Description: 11 graded MS-61, 80 higher at PCGS. Although not very plentiful in mint-state grades, the availability below "choice" makes the 1870 a reasonable option for type when one wishes to avoid an obvious common date (think: 1871, 1872). Almond-white luster thrusts outward from the center, especially for the reverse, which displays flashy and slightly semi-prooflike character. Bag friction likely caused the overall abrading of the surface that now leads to the PCGS grade.
