Description:	Walk The Plank Collection. Mintage: 7036. Onslaught of the Civil War prevented subsequent issues from being widely released to circulation, thus the 1860 and 1860-S for many years were the final 3-dollar coins that the public actually found in their pockets. This Philadelphia example spent little actual time in commerce, as is reflected by the substantial remaining luster. Some hairlining of the surface elicits a "cleaned" disclaimer even though a carbon fleck somehow still remains attached to the obverse lower left field.
