Remarkably original and sculpted to exacting precision by the Denver dies, here is a key representative that fortifies any complete set with prestige, and no shortage of aesthetic appeal. That begins with a standout strike, which looks nearly as complete as it can be for the issue. Details include the knifelike obverse rim and a bold and noticeably high-relief mintmark, so much unlike the "weak D" examples frequently seen. The surface has become dusted here and there with some ash-grey accents such as to imply an exceptional level of vintage preservation. And for what few abrasions exist beneath a loupe, one cannot possibly complain.
