Description: Mintage: 1016. 9 graded PR-64, 4 higher at NGC. Evidently struck off of very late proof dies, neither side displays much mirroring in the fields, that effect attenuated somewhat by spinning cartwheel luster and flashy surface quality. Exquisitely impressed by the dies, the exceptional strike might be the only thing that distinguishes the coin from a prooflike example, of which many exist, albeit not with the extraordinarily level of detail seen here.
