Description: The Bert Davies Collection. A trio of fabulously original examples from the Motherland will assuredly make this a popular offering. First is Cologne-Josef Clemens 1700-NL thaler, Deutz mint, KM#398, intricately detailed on both sides, which is unusual for the era, and just simply a terrific, bold example. Second is Bavaria-Ludwig I 1827 thaler KM#733, struck to mark the founding of the Theresien Order, and far nicer than the abused pieces often seen. Third and final is Hesse-Darmstadt 1841 2-thaler KM#310, rarely found mint-state and this an especially sharp if lightly circulated example. Three coin lot.
