Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1891-CC PCGS MS-63
Lot Number: 626
Description: VAM-3, Top-100 "spitting eagle". The beginning of sunrise-gold color around the edges would continue to develop had this coin been left in its original environment, but it now remains safe (sterile?) within the confines of the PCGS slab. The "spitting eagle" is actually the most common die-marriage for 1891-CC, so the distinction here lies in how well the centrally details are struck - they verge on the edge of being 100% perfectly detailed.
