Description: Prooflike circulation strike coins have always appealed to many collectors, and NGC has identified each of these as being such, to one degree or another. The 1948-S quarter has the blatant appearance of a true proof, which is occasionally the case for this date. Utterly brilliant, flashy white surfaces display a lot of die-polish responsible for the reflectivity. And not only do flashing, steely bright fields dominate the 1942-S half-dollar, but either side, especially the reverse, offers perceptible cameo contrast. Two coin lot.
