Lot Title: 1861 Seated Liberty dime MS-64, and an 1861 Seated Liberty quarter MS-62, both PCGS (green label)
Lot Number: 854
Description: M. Diatom Collection. While the technical strike quality for the dime unquestionably falls near perfection, some details were obstructed by thinning of the planchet at the reverse upper left, where planchet striations remain visible. A gorgeous bone-white example. The quarter shows a doubled-die reverse, visible at QUAR, but the grade was limited by a highly peculiar series of abrasions descending from Liberty's outstretched arm. Two coin lot.
Estimate: $1,250-$1,400

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
