Description: 22 graded MS-66, 36 higher at PCGS. Turning to the reverse first, we find a near-white surface that emits a faint echo of bone-grey hue. On the obverse, a pleasing, circular toning pattern becomes particularly broad over the lower motif, and incorporates Pacific-blue, cinnamon-orange, and russet-magenta into a memorable melange of album toning. A minute tick rests just right of Liberty's head, and a couple of upper right stars on the obverse may not be quite fully struck, but that is not much deterrent against a quarter with this much visual appeal.
