Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1857 Flying Eagle Clashed with 25C Reverse NGC MS-63
Lot Number: 602
Description: Snow-8. Depth of the prevalent burgundy color gives much the appearance of a bronze cent, rather than a copper-nickel example, and the thick blanket of patina helps to disguise some modest hairlining of the obverse lower field. The famous clashed-die shows plainly on the reverse with the outlining of the eagle of a Seated Liberty quarter visible in transposed format. An especially well detailed example.
