Description: Peripherally toned, with a thin band of golden grey on the obverse, and more vibrant chartreuse-orange and turquoise on the reverse. Exceptional details look right at home for this 1893-CC key (some would say semi-key) silver dollar, as these often come rather well defined. Also frequently seen for the date is a gathering of tiny, but rather numerous abrasions on the cheek, and a few light, irregular surface grazes within the fields. While certainly neither reflective nor prooflike, the devices are, nevertheless, notably more strongly frosted than the surrounding field area, contriving a bit of cameo effect. In this grade, the 1893-CC is a scarce find on its own merits, but becomes far rarer and more desirable in the original Paramount holder.
