Description: The Merchants National Bank of Clinton, Iowa. Serial # 1. Rich, deep grey signatures only add to the inherent appeal, which is already considerable given the inaugural serial number. Possibly CU or better, a single pinhole must be noted, and the cataloger also spotted a small crease at the upper left corner. Still a terrific example off of this rather sizable (today) Iowa town.
