Description: In addition to relative scarcity in uncirculated grades, the 1883-S is very seldom seen prooflike (not to mention, deeply mirrored). This luminous, bright white example is not so-designated, yet the obverse displays blatant reflectivity in the obverse fields, as well as obvious cameo contrast. The reverse is nevertheless probably only semi-prooflike, and it is possible the coin would garner a "star" in another slab. Well struck and substantially attractive.
