Description: Not just any auction company would be courageous enough to offer a pair of low-mintage 3-dollar gold pieces for a single high bid, but Scotsman Auction Company is not just any other company! The lesser cleaned example actually features noticeably better details than its companion, but a number of curious fibers are incidentally glued to random spots on either side. The weaker example in terms of details shows very bright surfaces and excessive brilliance, consistent with light polishing. Two coin lot.
