Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1852, 1855, and 1860, all NGC AU-58
Lot Number: 222
Description: And Then... Collection. All three gold dollar types get handsome representation at the "slider" grade level, so-called for coins that grade AU-58 and are therefore on the cusp of mint-state. 1852 retains considerable original luster and features some light grunge worked into the seemingly vintage color, while 1855, frosty and pale, sees scant rub over die-clashed details. Only the mildest touch of friction hairlines show up for 1860, this coin showing perhaps four delicate oblong nicks on Liberty's cheek. Plenty of glowing, golden mint luster - nearly all of it, in fact - remains for this three coin lot.
