Description: This antique Victorian Circa 1850 sterling swing handle basket/brides basket has the most incredible engraving to the bowl along with a central figure that I am still trying to figure out (a man pointing to a book?) The edging is a bumpy gadroon pattern. The handle also has a gadroon beaded design and ends in the Acanthus leaves near the hinge. There is no monogram on the front or back. 11.75” x 10”, 25.65 troy ounces.
