Description: The proof is in the pudding. While no collector would ever deny that there is something just purely awesome about the flash of an uncirculated silver coin, there is something more prestigious about the display put off by the surfaces of a Proof issue. Three collections of proof issues housed in Capital plastics display boards come together to form this impossibly pretty lot. Only three holes haven’t been filled with the 1950 through 1952 proof Franklin halves not in attendance. There are no attendance issues with the Roosevelt dime and Washington quarter sets being filled from start to finish (1950 – 1964). Predominantly white and highly polished surfaces aptly describes the Franklin halves set and the Washington quarters set with the only noticeable exception being the 1954 half dollar. Conversely, nearly every member of the Roosevelt dime set offers original magenta tones clinging to the peripheries with a couple of light golden tones mixed in (ck).
