Description: Not far shy of a "full head' designation, the 1917 type-2 features bold shield details and wonderfully frosted vibrancy, albeit some weakness may be seen at the date. 1927-D, an underrated issue, absolutely would meet "full head" requirements if not for a misplaced contact event that has erased the ear completely. Noticeable die-polish endows the reverse. Two coin lot.
