Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1917 Type 1 MS-65, 1917 Type 1 MS-65FH, and a 1917 Type 1 MS-65FH, all PCGS
Lot Number: 671
Description: First, we have a scarcity for 1917 Type-1 - an example NOT given a "full head" designation. The strike comes close and emphasizes handsome, frosty eggshell surfaces. Next is a copper-hued example that features distinct splashes of olive-tobacco, ideally exemplifying an extremely original surface. This may be the premier example of the trio. Last, but by no means least, the final example was struck from extremely early dies, as can be inferred by surprisingly distinct, upraised die-polish lines interspersed between RTY on the obverse, and descending well into the lower right field. As a result, the details are almost impossibly sharp beneath the curiously mottled cobalt-salmon and violet-grey toning. Three coin lot.
