Description: The obverse of the AU-58 was struck from a somewhat aged die, mated to a slightly better detailed reverse die, and the surface appears to retain considerable luster despite graphite-grey patina. The MS-63 example, by contrast, seems to have been struck from two aged dies, albeit the fields remain boldly lustrous beneath delicate nickel-grey patina. Both show evidence of greyish carbon spots for this two coin lot.
