Description: Captain Jack Collection. 122 graded MS-64, 6 higher at NGC. VAM-3, as are all circulation strike 1894 silver dollars. Obviously, this means the mintage of about 110-thousand, second lowest only against 1893-S, was struck off of a single pair of dies. Rather delicate amber-gold hue gravitates toward the obverse rim, while the reverse shows significantly more of the lovely honey-copper toning. A couple of reed marks on the cheek instantly delineate the grade, yet this is a highly attractive, frost-laden example destined for a premier collection.
