Description: Captain Jack Collection. It is almost stupefying to stare at the 1880-S as it offers a perfect strike and outrageous eye-appeal, raging with prooflike luster and astonishing illumination. 1882-S seems to be perfectly struck as well, and of course, this is an unblemished, sprightly example with liquid-mercury luster, a completely untoned obverse, and a reverse that offers a broad and unexpectedly very attractive crescent of oil-slick rainbow colors on the reverse. Finally, the cheek for 1886 appears fresh and unblemished, but the strike was not very well executed on either side. Three coin lot.
