Description: 1 graded AU-58+, 5 higher at PCGS. Only two reverse dies have been reported for 1854-S, this being the reverse that has a nice die-crack bisecting "M" in AMERICA. Extensive luster permeates either side, thinning only through the fields where the effects of very light wear are noticeable. That being said, both sides have become somewhat abraded, a common theme for 1854-S. This is an extremely rare issue at the AU-58 grade level, and anything that surpasses that, even by the mere smidgeon of a "plus", must be considered a treasure. Decently struck and pale peach-gold overall.
