Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1835 PCGS MS-62
Lot Number: 174
Description: McCloskey-1, the "wide AM" reverse. Typical for the die-marriage, Liberty's hair curls get blunt definition from the obverse die, showing merely one broad, lozenge-shaped motif over the ear. A modestly depressed area within the shield lines on the reverse corresponds to this thickest area of the planchet. Also frequently seen, the fields offer attractive semi-prooflike character as viewed from the obverse, with a bit less flash emanating from the broad reverse fields. The grade seems to be determined by scattered, light hairline abrasions.
