Lot Title: 1787 Connecticut Mailed Bust Left, and an 1803 Small Date, Large Fraction Draped Bust large cent, both PCGS VF-25
Lot Number: 975
Description: Rarefy Consignment. The 1787 Connecticut copper possesses deep ebony brown patina, not at all hard on the eyes, and the reverse die was rotated 90 degrees upon striking. This is a flat-out handsome coin. Not any sort of slouch itself, the 1803 large-cent that accompanies was struck on a very decent planchet, and shows coppery undertones, no large marks, and but a few tiny planchet depressions. Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
