Description: Bert Davies Collection. Overton-106, R.4. In addition to a "knob 6", nice repunching shows on "8" in the date. O-106 can be a very difficult die-marriage to grade because the reverse frequently shows broad weakness toward the upper right, characterized here by a missing cloud and partially effaced "O" in OF, yet PCGS nailed the grade perfectly. Furthermore, this is an exceptionally original example -- almost extraordinary, really, given the deep, crunchy patina and ideal lavender-grey patina. A genuinely outstanding coin for the Overton collector.
