Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1924-D AU-58, and a 1924-S VF-35, both NGC
Lot Number: 662
Description: Typical weak details affect the 1924-D due to dies in an advanced state of deterioration, such that the bison's horn could not even be brought up. Nevertheless, substantial luster remains visible throughout. 1924-S is obviously a top key to the series, and the details here are surprisingly well-distributed for a date often seen poorly struck. The bison's horn is not full, but this is due about as much to wear as strike, and the only detraction seen is a near-meaningless hairline scratch across the obverse left. Two coin lot.
