Description: Bert Davies Collection. FS-1301,. Fletcher-106, formerly FS-009. The "3" is punched over a smaller, underlying 3 that was originally punched in too far to the left, presumably with a punch intended for a smaller diameter die. Specialist guides, such as "Cherrypickers", suggest it is a rare variety, and this may be part of the reason the Redbook does not list suggested prices. Here is a bright example that seems fully "choice" at first glance, although a second examination reveals only feeble luster and a tiny dig at 7:00 of the obverse.
