Description: Patrician Collection. Here is a sensational example of the avidly pursued key date that nearly defies all attempts to learn why NGC might have failed to put the coin into a "mint-state" holder. The dies were fresh as this coin emerged, resulting in outstanding intricacies that seem to have weathered circulation nearly intact. At most, NGC's perceived "wear" created very slightly flattening of the center of Lincoln's portrait. Luster remains virtually undisturbed, and highly remarkable for a "circulated" cent, occasional flashes of mint red remain on either side! A terrific prize and a fabulous coin for the collector.
