For the Lincoln cent enthusiast who is more about "keeping it real" than worrying about the highest, most overpriced grades possible, here is an absolutely delightful, caramel-brown 1909-S VDB that carries with it a sensational strike. Lincoln's bowtie was perfectly detailed by the die, and the reverse looks particularly sharp, boasting ideally delineated wheat stalks and minutely detailed kernels. This side frankly looks mint-state. A truly remarkable example of the key, and just about the finest looking AU-58 example the cataloger has seen, which makes a micro-tick on Lincoln's ear is completely superfluous.
