Lot Title: 1909-S VDB Lincoln VF-25 BN, and a 1914-D XF-45 BN, both NGC
Lot Number: 562
Description: Important keys to the Lincoln cent series comprise this pairing, both certified at better circulated grades that are very popular with collectors. 1909-S VDB (VF-25) actually has details closer to XF and a fairly nice chocolate-brown planchet, but the surface displays a surprising number of nicks that probably relegate the grade a few points lower than expected. To the contrary, the surface for 1914-D (XF-45) shows hardly any marks at all and has an interesting appearance that relies on low-contrast deep-brown color. Two coin lot.
