Description: Sheldon-294. Easily identifiable by the "crosslet 4" in the date, N-294 frequently services as a type for the difficult "classic head" because quality examples can be found with persistence. As would any collector, PCGS probably appreciated the refreshingly decent planchet quality seen throughout, with no sign at all of the surface issues that plague the type. Further, this appears to be an unusually original coin such that crumbles of greenish verdigris cling still to the reverse elements, proving the surface has not been drastically cleaned or altered. An outstanding example that might even please many a fussy collector.
