Description: Forest Park Collection II. 90 graded MS-66 FH, 56 higher at PCGS. Contrary to common intuition, the 1919 has a tendency to be available well struck, at least in grades below the "gem" level, although very few pieces exceed the excellent intersection of high grade and sharpness seen here. Every rivet displays clearly on the shield, and the eagle's tail is comprised of accurate, straight lines, fully etched by the die. Notably, the first two digits in the date are a trifle weaker than the latter pair, and as many collectors know, this is the sore spot for well circulated examples that almost always lack the first "19". Frosty and shimmering, the presentation could hardly be nicer for the grade.
