Description: Forest Park Collection II. Notably more elusive than the comparatively common type-1 in high grade, the 1917 type-2 did not achieve the unerringly consistent production quality of the type-1, and even this superior "gem" does not carry quite the equivalent sharpness of its earlier brethren. The earhole and presence of three sprigs suffices to warrant the designation, but the two rivets at lower left of the shield are only barely raised from the surface. Still, the quality is adequately announced by the fabulous, softly glowing champagne-white luster, and only the barest minimum of contact abrasions may be located.
