Description: Break Even Consignment. 1913 type-1 is a very common date overall within the series due to preservation at roll-quantity levels, but this is an unusually nice specimen at the "very gem" level. Brilliant peridot, scarlet-yellow, magenta, and bluish-tan hues layer inward from the rims on either side, creating a delightful, near-symmetrical presentation from side-to-side. While exceptionally well struck, the dies may have been a bit aged, as indicated by orange-peel luster forming within the reverse fields.
