Description: The No Land Consignment. Collector appeal: "A+" for completeness and consistency of sharpness. Considerable energy was expended in locating full-horn examples, as the average grade easily meets "very fine" standards, with numerous XF coins bringing up the overall average. Some of the best highlights might be: 1913-D type-2 (VF/full horn), 1913-S type-2 (VF/90% horn), 1914-D (XF/full horn), 1914-S (VF/75% horn), 1915-D (AU, superb full horn), 1915-S (VF/full horn), 1917-D (VF/75% horn), 1917-S (XF/90% horn), 1918-D (XF/75% horn), 1918-S (VF/75% horn), 1919-D (VF/75% horn), 1919-S (VF/75% horn), 1920-D (VF/75% horn), 1920-S (VF/75% horn), 1921-S (VF/75% horn, a rock-solid beauty), 1923-S (VF/75% horn), 1924-D (VF, only 2/3 horn), 1924-S (VF, only 2/3 horn), 1925-D (VF/full horn or right on the cusp), 1925-S (VF/75% horn, minor planchet laminations), 1926-S (VF/counting wheel damage, or else it likely has a 75% full horn), and 1937-D 3 Leg (VF/75% horn). Evidently, these are all original coins, with not even a single example showing obvious signs of cleaning, and the consistency of grade between the VF and XF levels (in general) gives a pleasing, coherent presence to the set.
